Tree House at Spring Brook Farm

One telephone call turns into “A Project of Giving”. One simple question from Jim Serum (Past client & Leader of Men of Mission) asking for a little professional help from Mike McCorkle in constructing a tree house for children with disabilities turns into a project of giving for Micon Construction Inc. Mike McCorkle and members of The Micon Team (Donna McCorkle, Max McCorkle, James Trotter, Vincent Inverso, Ronald Anzalone, Dave King, and Jim Cochran), The Men of Mission, Bruce Cavin (Architectual Alliance - Architect, for The Tree House) and many other volunteers including Joe Shcorn (Shcorn Construction) all gave countless summer and fall weekends and worked vigerously to help complete this very special project for “All of the Children” at The Barn at Spring Brook Farm.

On Saturday June 11th, 2011 the “Formal Ribbon Cutting Ceremony” took place for The New Tree House at the Barn at Spring Brook Farm in Pocopson, PA. In attendance was a group of spectacular children whose desire was to navigate up the maze like ramp and discover the magical views from up above in their newly constructed Tree House. State Senator Andy Dinniman was present for the ceremony and spoke about the construction of the tree house and Men of Mission. Jim Serum (Leader of Men of Mission) stated “As soon as the ribbon cutting occurred, they went up the ramp and were in their glory looking over the deck out on to the meadow. Sure made it all worthwhile. Mike, Thanks so much for your leadership in the construction project. I could not have done it without you.”
